Job summary

Nordea is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to join the Data Mesh and AI Platforms team in a hybrid setup. You will design, build, test, and improve Azure platform patterns and automation to enable secure data and AI solutions within a regulated banking environment.

Requires hands‑on engineering experience with Azure, Terraform, Entra ID, and CI/CD pipelines. The role collaborates with product owners, architects, and governance teams across Europe, with potential remote work up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Several years of cloud/infra engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and improve Azure infrastructure foundations with Terraform and pipelines.
• Create reusable IaC modules for subscriptions, RGs, networking and RBAC.
• Support secure Azure landing zones and environment isolation.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for provisioning, validation, deployment and lifecycle management.
• Implement identity/access patterns using Entra ID and Azure RBAC.
• Support Azure data/AI platform enablement (ML, Fabric, Data Factory, AKS).
• Build observability with Azure Monitor, logs, alerts, dashboards and runbooks.
• Translate priorities into backlog items, tasks and docs.
• Collaborate with security, governance and architecture teams.
