Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a data engineering expert to design and build scalable data processing platforms within our Data & Analytics Competence Center in Poland. You will craft data pipelines in Azure Databricks, model data for analytics, and implement batch or near real-time processing while collaborating with data analysts and Data Science teams.

The role requires strong SQL/Python skills, Spark experience, and hands-on Azure data services knowledge.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in processing and integrating large data volumes.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Designing Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions.
• ETL/ELT pipeline development and data orchestration.
• Azure cloud data processing projects (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric).
• Fluent English and Polish language abilities.
• Based in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture.
• Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration in Azure Databricks.
• Model data and prepare structures for analytics and business needs.
• Implement batch and near real-time data processing solutions.
• Monitor, optimize, and develop existing pipelines and processes.
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science on data prep and sharing.
• Gather business requirements and propose optimal technological solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.
• Support and mentor less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
