Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable data processing pipelines in Data Lake and Data Warehouse environments. You will work with Azure Databricks, Spark, and Azure services to deliver reliable ETL/ELT solutions for large data volumes.

The role requires strong SQL and Python skills, plus experience with distributed data processing. You will collaborate with BI and Data Science teams and mentor colleagues in a dynamic, Polish-based team.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience in processing and integrating large data volumes.
Strong SQL and Python skills.
Experience with Spark/PySpark and data processing frameworks.
Experience designing Data Lake/Data Warehouse solutions.
Ability to build ETL/ELT pipelines and work with data orchestration tools.
Experience in Azure data processing projects (Databricks, ADF, Synapse, Fabric).
Fluent English and Polish language skills.
Location in Poland or willing to relocate to Poland.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data processing platforms in Data Lake/Data Platform architectures.
Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for diverse data sources in Azure Databricks.
Model data and prepare structures for analytics and business needs.
Implement batch and near real-time data processing solutions.
Monitor, optimize, and enhance existing pipelines and processes.
Collaborate with data analysts, BI, and Data Science teams on data prep and sharing.
Gather business requirements and propose optimal tech solutions.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Mentor less experienced team members and share best practices.
