Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data & Analytics Engineer to design and build scalable data processing platforms within a Data Lake / Data Platform architecture. You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines for data from multiple sources and process them in the Azure Databricks environment.

You will model data, collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science, and help optimize pipelines while documenting solutions. Fluency in English and Polish is required, and position is based in Poland.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data processing/integration of large data volumes.
• Strong SQL and Python required.
• Experience with Spark / PySpark.
• Designing Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions.
• ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration experience.
• Cloud-based Azure data processing projects (Databricks, ADF, Synapse, Fabric).
• Knowledge of distributed data processing concepts and pipeline optimization.
• Fluent English communication.
• Polish language proficiency.
• Based in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and developing scalable data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture.
• Creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration in Azure Databricks.
• Data modeling and preparing data structures for analytics and business needs.
• Implementing batch and near real-time data processing solutions.
• Monitoring, optimizing, and improving existing pipelines.
• Collaborating with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science on data prep and sharing.
• Gathering business requirements and proposing optimal tech solutions.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for solutions.
• Mentoring junior team members and sharing best practices.
