Job summary

Our client, a leading international manufacturing company, seeks a Chief Accountant to join the finance team in Wroclaw. You will oversee the full accounting function and develop a robust team to drive accuracy and compliance across local regulations and Group standards.

You will lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, coordinate IFRS and US GAAP reporting, and participate in finance transformation and ERP optimization.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of accounting experience including leadership roles.
• Experience in managing and developing an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• English at B2 level for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting operations per local regulations and Group standards.

About Our Client

For our Client - an international manufacturing company - we are currently looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to join their finance team.

Job Description

• Managing the full accounting operations of the company in accordance with local regulations and Group standards.
• Ensuring timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and balance sheet.
• Supervising the accuracy and compliance of accounting records and financial processes.
• Coordinating tax reporting processes and statutory reporting requirements.
• Cooperating with external auditors, tax advisors, and public institutions.
• Managing, organizing, and developing the accounting team.
• Providing financial and accounting support to business stakeholders and international teams.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to increase efficiency.
• Participating in finance transformation and digitalization projects, including ERP system implementation and optimization.
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in accounting, including experience as a Chief Accountant, Accounting Manager, or in a team leadership role.
• Experience in managing and developing an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of full accounting processes, accounting regulations, and tax legislation.
• Practical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Experience in leading finance transformation and digitalization projects.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• English language proficiency at least at B2 level, enabling effective communication in an international environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with business stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage priorities effectively.
