Job summary

Randstad Polska Sp. z o.o. is assisting an established international mobility and fleet management leader in recruiting a Chief Accountant in Poland (Mazowieckie). You will lead the accounting team, ensure timely financial reporting, and maintain compliance with tax and statutory regulations.

The role requires at least 3 years in a similar position, a Master in Economics/Finance, and strong English (C1). A hybrid work model (1 day from home) and a benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a comparable role.
• Master, Business or Economics or relevant.
• Fluent English (C1).
• Experience with ERP software.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the accounting team; conduct performance reviews.
• Prepare annual financial statements and periodic reports.
• Prepare data for budgeting and reporting cycles.
• Oversee CIT and VAT calculations and transfer pricing docs.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance of accounting records with laws.

Job description

Our client is an established, international company in the mobility and fleet management sector and a leader in its industry. Due to the continued growth of its financial structure, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated candidate for the position of Chief Accountant. If you possess strong accounting and financial reporting skills and are eager to lead a team in a dynamically growing organization, this opportunity is for you.

What will your tasks involve?

• Managing, developing, and evaluating the accounting team (assigning tasks, conducting performance reviews, and making employment recommendations)
• Preparing annual financial statements and periodic financial reports in line with agreed deadlines
• Preparing data and reporting required for budgeting and reporting cycles
• Calculating CIT and VAT, supervising the preparation of tax returns, and preparing transfer pricing documentation
• Preparing and submitting statistical reports (GUS)
• Overseeing the accuracy of accounting ledger entries in accordance with local regulations and Group standards
• Supervising account reconciliations and balance confirmation processes with business partners
• Supervising document workflow (including cost invoice approvals) and the invoicing process
• Coordinating and supervising internal and external audits
• Supervising the implementation of internal control procedures and tracking regulatory changes
• Overseeing bank and cash settlement processes
• Maintaining full compliance of accounting records and tax settlements with applicable laws
• Executing other tasks assigned by the Financial Director and the Management Board

What we expect from you?

• At least 3 years of experience in a comparable role
• Master, Business or Economics or Relevant
• English - C1
• Work with PC - MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - advanced level
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experience on ERP software
• Strong in organizing and executing administrative tasks
• Deep knowledge on Tax laws, regulations, and statutory regulations
• Be organized and trustworthy, handling sensitive information
