Job summary

SoftwareOne seeks a Regional General Counsel for Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) to lead the legal function across the region. You will serve as trusted adviser to regional leadership, guiding sustainable growth with governance, compliance, and ethical business conduct.

You will work with regional and global stakeholders to develop legal operations and support business success across multiple jurisdictions within the CEE region, including policy development and risk management.

Qualifications

• Full qualification as a lawyer in a CEE jurisdiction
• Senior in-house legal experience in an international business; top international law firm a plus
• Proven ability to lead and develop legal teams across multiple jurisdictions
• Expertise in commercial contracting, corporate governance, compliance, data privacy, AI regulation, and dispute management
• Experience in technology, software, cloud, or IT services is advantageous
• Commercially minded with sound judgment and the ability to influence senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the CEE Legal function and regional legal team
• Advise regional management on strategic initiatives and growth opportunities
• Review, negotiate, and structure complex customer, vendor, partner, and technology agreements
• Oversee litigation, governance, entity management, legal reporting, and external counsel engagement
• Ensure regulatory compliance including data protection and AI regulations
• Support compliance trainings and risk mitigation across the region
• Identify emerging legal risks and translate them into practical guidance
