Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a Security Architect to shape the security architecture of a large-scale healthcare product used in on-premise environments. You will work with a mature C++ monolithic app and a Qt-based UI, defining architectural solutions that balance security with stability and scalability.

You’ll collaborate with architects, developers, and security experts to strengthen the product’s security posture and guide long-term technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software architecture and enterprise system design.
• Proven track record designing solutions for large-scale monolithic applications.
• Advanced experience with legacy C++ codebases and architectural patterns.
• Familiarity with Qt-based desktop applications and on-premise environments.
• Experience introducing architectural changes while maintaining stability and continuity.
• Strong understanding of low-level software concepts like memory management, concurrency, and threading.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security requirements from software, system, and enterprise perspectives.
• Design secure solutions addressing application-, system-, and infrastructure-level security.
• Assess impact, dependencies, complexity and risks.
• Determine whether requirements belong to application or infrastructure layer.
• Define secure approaches for file processing, DB access, authentication, and external integrations.
• Guide developers during implementation and review proposed solutions.
• Ensure compatibility with the existing legacy architecture.
• Collaborate with Security Specialists and client stakeholders on prioritization and risk mitigation.
