Job summary

Aptiv is seeking an experienced UiPath Automation Engineer to own end-to-end automation delivery. You will work with process owners to analyze requirements, design solutions, develop and test UiPath automations, deploy to production and provide ongoing support.

The role requires 3–4 years of hands-on UiPath experience, familiarity with SAP/ERP, Orchestrator, REST APIs, Git, and a strong focus on security, maintainability and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing and maintaining UiPath automations.
• Experience managing automation delivery end to end with business engagement and deployment.
• Finance domain knowledge in PTP, OTC, RTR.
• Experience automating SAP, ERP systems, ServiceNow, Microsoft tools, email, websites and business apps.
• UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and standard UiPath components proficiency.
• Ability to translate business needs into stable technical solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting production incidents.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• English proficiency for an international environment.
• Knowledge of REFramework, Orchestrator Queues, Assets, Triggers, Jobs, exception handling, logging.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own automation delivery end to end: from business discussions and process analysis, through requirements agreement, solution design, development and testing, to deployment and ongoing production support.
• Develop new UiPath automations in line with coding, quality, security and maintainability standards.
• Work directly with process owners and business users to identify automation opportunities and clarify requirements.
• Prepare process and technical documentation, including requirements, solution design, operating instructions and support documentation.
• Plan and execute testing, coordinate UAT with the business and resolve defects before deployment.
• Deploy automations to production and monitor their stability and performance.
• Maintain production automations by investigating incidents, fixing defects, implementing changes and improving performance.
• Collaborate with application teams, IT, architects and other stakeholders to resolve technical dependencies and production issues.
• Ensure effective handover to operations and share knowledge with users and team members.
• Follow and promote best practices for automation development, testing, deployment and maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Approximately 3-4 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing and maintaining UiPath automations.
• Experience independently managing automation delivery end to end, including business engagement, requirements agreement, development, deployment and production support.
• Business process knowledge, particularly in Finance areas such as PTP, OTC and RTR.
• Experience automating processes involving SAP, other ERP systems, ServiceNow, Microsoft Tools, email, websites and business applications.
• Practical knowledge of UiPath Studio, Orchestrator and standard UiPath platform components.
• Ability to analyze processes, define requirements and translate business needs into stable technical solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving incidents affecting production automations.
• Analytical mindset, ownership, attention to detail and strong work organization.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• English proficiency sufficient to work effectively in an international environment.
• Hands-on experience in developing scalable and stable automations using REFramework and UiPath Orchestrator Queues, Assets, Triggers and Jobs, including exception handling, retry mechanisms, logging and process monitoring.
• Experience working with Git version control, code reviews and a structured process for deploying changes to test and production environments.
• Ability to develop reusable components and libraries and integrate automations with external systems using REST APIs, JSON and databases.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis of production incidents and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES

• Basic knowledge of one or more of the following: VB.NET, C#, Python, SQL or APIs.
• UiPath Certified Professional Automation Developer Associate or Professional certification.
• Experience with Document Understanding, OCR or document processing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and with backlog management tools, such as Azure DevOps.
