Job summary

Coherent Solutions is seeking an experienced automation engineer to join a newly established team. You’ll help transition to an automation-first and AI-first operating model, delivering scalable automation across enterprise functions while maintaining technical ownership.

You will work on designing workflows with low-code/no-code tools, integrating systems via APIs, and ensuring data consistency with master data management principles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in automation engineering, system integration, or a related technical role.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including Azure SQL or other relational platforms.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs for system integration.
• Practical scripting experience.
• Strong system architecture skills and experience designing end-to-end automation solutions.

• Design, develop, deploy, and enhance automation solutions across finance, operations, IT, and other enterprise functions.
• Work independently with minimal requirements, defining automation approaches and integrations for various systems.
• Evaluate automation platforms and select the most appropriate tools for each use case.
• Design and develop intelligent process automations using low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate).
• Build and maintain system integrations using APIs and MuleSoft.

Project Description

The specialist will join a newly established team supporting the company’s transition to an automation-first and AI-first operating model. The role focuses on delivering scalable and secure automation solutions across enterprise business functions while maintaining a high degree of technical ownership and independence.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, deploy, and enhance automation solutions supporting business processes across finance, operations, IT, and other enterprise functions;
• Work independently with minimal functional requirements, defining automation approaches, system integrations, and technical solutions for both custom-built and commercial enterprise systems;
• Evaluate automation platforms and select the most appropriate tools for each use case;
• Design and develop intelligent process automations and workflows using low-code/no-code platforms such as Alteryx, Blue Prism, UiPath, Power Automate, and Workiva;
• Build and maintain system integrations using APIs and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft;
• Design and work with relational and NoSQL databases, including Azure SQL, to support automation logic, data persistence, and reporting;
• Apply system architecture principles to ensure automation solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards;
• Apply master data management principles to maintain data consistency and integrity across automated processes;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and improve business efficiency;
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize deployed automations to ensure reliability and performance;
• Document automation designs, data flows, and integration patterns to support long-term maintainability;

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in automation engineering, system integration, or a related technical role;
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including experience with Azure SQL or another relational database platform;
• Experience designing and consuming APIs for system integration;
• Practical scripting experience;
• Strong system architecture skills and experience designing end-to-end automation solutions;
• Understanding of master data management principles and enterprise data consistency;
• Understanding of product management principles, including prioritization and requirements documentation;
• Experience supporting multiple business functions within enterprise environments;
• Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment;
• Readiness to maintain at least four hours of daily overlap with EST;
• RPA platform certification obtained within the past three years, preferably UiPath, is a plus;
