Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Business Analyst to connect business needs with IT solutions in Document Management and Control. You will collaborate with stakeholders, document teams, project groups, and vendors to analyze and digitalize document lifecycle processes across global projects.

The role focuses on standardizing processes, ensuring compliance, and enabling information governance with strong requirements analysis and testing support. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Information Management, or related field with 3+ years as a BA/Functional Analyst/PO.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
• Knowledge of document management, lifecycle, metadata, revision control, workflows, and information governance.
• Fluent English with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with global/multicultural teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for digitalization and continuous improvement in document-centric environments.
• Gather, document, validate, and manage requirements, translating them into specifications, user stories, flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate workshops to define needs and align outcomes.
• Support solution design, testing, implementation, release readiness, and user adoption.
• Act as liaison between business users, application teams, vendors, and service delivery groups.
• Drive standardization of document management and control processes across projects and units.
• Define and monitor KPIs, benefits, and adoption metrics to support data-driven decisions.
• Contribute to lifecycle management, backlog, change management, training, and knowledge transfer.

Business Analyst - Project Document Management

At Hitachi Energy, we are driving the digital transformation of document-centric business processes across global projects and enterprise functions. We are looking for a Business Analyst who can connect business needs with practical IT solutions in the Document Management and Document Control domain.

In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, document control teams, project teams, application owners, vendors, and IT delivery teams to analyze, improve, and digitalize document lifecycle processes. You will play a key role in enabling standardization, compliance, collaboration, and information governance across our global organization.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for digitalization, harmonization, and continuous improvement within document-centric environments.
• Gather, document, validate, and manage business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to define business needs and align solution outcomes.
• Support solution design, testing, implementation, release readiness, and user adoption activities.
• Act as the key liaison between business users, application teams, vendors, integration teams, and service delivery organizations.
• Drive standardization of document management and document control processes across projects and business units.
• Define and monitor process performance indicators, business benefits, and adoption metrics to support data-driven decision making.
• Contribute to application lifecycle management, enhancement backlogs, demand intake, change management, training, and knowledge transfer activities.

Your Background

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Information Management, or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years in a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
• Certification and knowledge: At least ITIL v4 Foundation certification and experience in business requirements analysis, stakeholder management, and process improvement.
• Strong understanding of document management, document control, document lifecycle, metadata, revision control, approval workflows, and information governance principles.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global and multicultural environment; fluent English required.
• Software and technology: Experience with MS Copilot 365 suite, Service Now and enterprise document management solutions such as InEight Document, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), OpenText Content Server/xECM.
