Job summary

AVA Energy is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of utility-scale BESS EPC projects from development through commissioning. The role is fully remote, with occasional travel to UK sites and meetings, and requires proven experience in the UK renewable energy market.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, drive grid compliance, select technology and coordinate with DNOs, EPCs and vendors to ensure on-time, within-budget completion.

Qualifications

• Full lifecycle BESS project management experience.
• Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Strong knowledge of BESS, power systems and grid integration.
• Understanding of UK grid codes and DNO/TSO processes.
• Experience in UK renewable energy market is essential.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK.

• Manage project teams and contractors against programme, budget and quality targets.
• Drive technology selection, design and grid compliance, working closely with DNOs and consultants.

We have partnered with a leading utility-scale battery energy storage company to appoint a Project Manager into their Technology department.

The company develops, constructs and manages utility-scale BESS assets across the UK, playing a critical role in the energy transition. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of high-profile projects from development through to commissioning.

The role is fully remote, so relocation is not required. However, candidates must have experience working within the UK renewable energy market and be comfortable with occasional travel to project sites and meetings.

• Solid understanding of UK grid codes, DNO/TSO processes and contracts such as FIDIC, NEC or JCT.
• Previous experience working in or with the UK renewable energy market is essential.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK.
