Qualifications

• Background in medical billing or healthcare administration.
• Experience with mental health/substance use billing preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Submit and scrub behavioral health and SUD claims.
• Follow up on rejections, denials, and underpayments.
• Verify eligibility and benefits for services.
• Coordinate prior authorizations with facilities and payers.
• Communicate with facilities, payers, and clients about billing needs.
• Use Kipu EMR to manage billing workflows and records.
