Job summary

Xebia, a global AI-first engineering partner, is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (Java and Kotlin) to develop scalable backend services for a specialized automotive marketplace.

You will design microservices and REST APIs, collaborate with Product, Data and UX teams, and uphold high standards of quality and testing. Occasional visits to the Warsaw office are expected within EU region.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java and Kotlin in production environments.
• Proficient in Spring Boot and microservices architectures.
• Design and develop backend services and REST APIs with a focus on quality and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend services for a specialized automotive marketplace.
• Design and develop microservices and REST APIs supporting key customer journeys.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and UX Designers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery quality and productivity.
• Occasional visits to the Warsaw office (1–2 days per quarter).
