Job summary

Xebia is hiring a senior software engineer to join our Europe-wide engineering team. You will build and maintain backend services in Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot, design REST APIs, and collaborate with frontend teams to create end-to-end customer experiences.

Requirements include strong Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST API, React, HTML5/CSS, WCAG accessibility, and experience with AI-powered assistants. Polish and English at B2, plus occasional Warsaw office visits are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot required.
• Hands-on REST API development and microservices architectures.
• Frontend basics: React, HTML5, CSS and responsive design.
• Familiar with WCAG accessibility standards and AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining backend services using Java and/or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Designing and integrating REST APIs within a distributed microservices environment.
• Building responsive and accessible web applications using HTML5 and CSS.
• Collaborating across backend and frontend components to deliver end-to-end customer experiences.
• Focusing on code quality, automated testing, performance, and application monitoring.
• Using AI-assisted development tools to support software delivery and productivity.
• Working closely with other teams to evolve the automotive marketplace and its specialized customer experiences.
