Job summary

The Codest is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable services using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot. You will work within a microservices ecosystem on MongoDB and GCP, collaborating with PMs, data analysts, and UX designers to drive high-quality software delivery.

Open to occasionally contributing to frontend/mobile tasks, and leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.

Qualifications

• Strong Kotlin and Java proficiency with hands-on Spring Boot experience.
• Experience designing and implementing backend solutions using microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and UX Designers to refine requirements.
• Willingness to work with AI-assisted development tools and adopt best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Architect new modules and contribute to key technical decisions.
• Continuously optimize performance, scalability, and code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and occasionally touch frontend/mobile when needed.
