Allegro.eu S.A. Warsaw is seeking a backend engineer with Kotlin/Java experience to design, build, and optimize services handling massive offer events daily.

You will work on Applied AI & ML initiatives, integrating models to analyze images and read offer contexts for automated decisions. You will join the Offer Verification team, collaborating with Data Science and ML groups to ensure platform safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience coding in Kotlin or Java.
• Commitment to high-quality, maintainable code and engineering best practices.
• Experience integrating AI/ML models in production environments.
• Willingness to take on frontend tasks (React/Angular/Vue) when needed.
• Good English communication (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize backend services for massive-scale systems.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML use cases to analyze images and read offer context.
• Collaborate with Data Science and ML teams to enable real-time decisions.
• Validate merchant listings against policies and regulations.
• Contribute to Allegro’s tech stack with Kotlin and related tooling.
