Job summary

Talanto is seeking a DevOps Java/Kotlin backend developer in Warsaw to design, develop, and maintain scalable services. You will work with Spring Boot, microservices, MongoDB, and Google Cloud Platform to deliver reliable APIs.

Expect collaboration with product and data teams and occasional frontend tasks. The role emphasizes high engineering standards, AI-assisted development, and growth in a fast-moving e-commerce tech environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Kotlin and Java
• Experience with Spring Boot backend applications
• Experience with designing and implementing microservices
• Strong focus on building, testing, and maintaining high-quality backend services and APIs
• English proficiency at B2+ level
• Able to work with AI-assisted development tools

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot
• Build and evolve microservices-based solutions with reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Design architecture for new modules and backend components and contribute to technical decisions
• Continuously optimize systems for performance and scalability
• Work with MongoDB, Spring Data MongoDB, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Write high-quality, well-tested code following engineering best practices
• Use AI-assisted coding tools as part of daily workflow
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Analysts, UX Designers, and engineers
• Occasionally contribute to frontend/web/mobile tasks when needed
