Job summary

Talanto is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a team building and maintaining a secure, high-traffic public website based on a modern microservices architecture.

This role combines hands-on coding with architectural and design expertise, requiring critical thinking to improve development processes, deployment practices, and system design.

You'll work with Java, REST APIs, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of overall IT experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles.
• Experience building and supporting microservices-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience working with secure, high-availability web applications.
• Good understanding of deployment processes and software delivery lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think critically and challenge solutions constructively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java.
• Build new features and enhance existing functionality within a microservices-based environment.
• Contribute to the architecture, design, and scalability of enterprise-grade applications.
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of applications and services.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions and provide recommendations for architectural improvements.
• Support deployment activities and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance and production issues.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement in development standards, processes, and system design.
