Remitly Poland Sp. z o.o. in Krakow is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design and build scalable backend services and APIs for the Money Movement platform. You will own integrations with external banking and payment partners, ensure production health, and work across time zones with a global, diverse team.

The role emphasizes ownership, mentoring, on-call support, and adherence to regulatory standards, with room to grow in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience as a software developer.
• Proficiency in Java/Kotlin or Golang.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Proficiency with an RDBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.
• Fluent English at least B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Integrate with external banking and payment partners and keep those integrations healthy in production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones to identify and prioritize project requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design docs, specifications, and testing plans.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and identify root causes.
