Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the Global Money Movement team in Krakow. You will build backend services and APIs that move money across borders, integrating with external banking and payment partners, with ownership from day one.

You will collaborate across time zones, own quality and operations, mentor juniors, and help ensure regulatory and security standards are met while delivering scalable financial platforms for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java/Kotlin or Golang and backend patterns.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Integrate with external banking and payment partners in production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in interviewing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security practices.
