Remitly in Kraków is seeking an Engineering Manager (IV) to lead one of our Kraków engineering teams within Global Money Movement. You will own delivery, technical direction, and team health, guiding a team of 6–12 engineers—senior and staff-level ICs—and align with product and platform leadership.

You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager in Kraków. You will drive multi-quarter technical strategy, mentor engineers, and defend trade-offs in complex, regulated money-movement systems

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience, backend focus (Java/Kotlin, Go).
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience with cloud platforms and scalable distributed systems.
• Strong mentoring and leadership capabilities across multiple sub-teams.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of people management for your team: hiring, structure, performance reviews, growth.
• Set multi-quarter technical and delivery strategy with product/platform leadership.
• Lead complex initiatives like platform migrations or money-movement services scaling.
• Represent your team to senior stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Seattle partner teams.
