Job summary

McCormick & Company is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to independently design, implement, optimize, and support Microsoft Azure platform solutions across the enterprise. You will own a defined domain within Azure, driving reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

You will collaborate with Cloud Architects, DevSecOps, and Software Engineers to deliver secure, scalable cloud-native and hybrid solutions aligned with governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure cloud platform solutions.
• Own day-to-day engineering activities across Azure infrastructure and cloud-native services.
• Provision, manage, and troubleshoot Azure components including networking, identity, compute, storage, Kubernetes, and serverless capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex platform issues.
• Deliver and maintain Azure cloud solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
• Implement scalable, resilient Azure platform services aligned with enterprise standards.
• Implement containerized workloads and support microservices in Azure.
• Deploy and maintain AKS clusters with security configurations.
• Support capacity, performance, resiliency planning across Azure environments.
• Develop documentation, guardrails, and support procedures.
• Optimize resources for performance and cost via rightsizing and autoscaling.
• Contribute to disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.
• Contribute to automation, monitoring, and service improvements.
• Implement monitoring and observability for proactive incidents.
• Participate in Cloud Center of Excellence initiatives.
