Job summary

Nordea Bank Norge ASA is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join the Data Mesh and AI Platforms team. You will design, build, test, and improve Azure platform patterns, automation, and controls to enable data and AI workloads in a regulated banking environment.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners and governance stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable cloud foundations and reusable patterns, with hybrid work up to 40% remote.

Qualifications

• Practical experience building or operating production-grade infrastructure on Azure.
• Strong Terraform and automation experience, with reusable module design and lifecycle management.
• Solid understanding of Azure networking, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, security controls, secrets management, Azure Policy, and monitoring.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and modern software engineering practices (code review, version control, testing, documentation).
• Interest in Azure data and AI services (AI Foundry, ML, Fabric, Data Factory).
• Ability to work in a regulated enterprise environment with compliance, resilience, and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and improve Azure infrastructure foundations using Terraform and pipelines.
• Implement reusable IaC modules for subscriptions, resource groups, networking, and security guardrails.
• Support secure Azure landing-zone patterns, including hub-and-spoke networking and private endpoints.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for provisioning, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Implement identity and access patterns with Entra ID, federation, and least-privilege RBAC.
• Build observability and operational controls using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Insights, dashboards and runbooks.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, governance and architecture teams on security and compliance.
