Job summary

Nordea Group Technology is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate an enterprise AI Gateway. You will extend API platforms for LLM, MCP, and A2A patterns, with automation to ensure reliability and production-readiness.

You will work with Terraform, CI/CD, OpenAPI, and IdP integration to enable secure, governed access. Hybrid work up to 40% remote; locations include Gdańsk/Gdynia, Poland, Copenhagen, or Helsinki.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in CS, Engineering, Business Informatics, or related field.
• Experience as Platform/API Gateway engineer or similar hands-on role.
• Hands-on with API platforms and gateways in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm for deploying gateway components.
• Strong Python and Lua for Kong plugin development.
• Experience with IdP integration and access control.
• Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of FinOps practices and cost visibility.
• Experience with OpenAPI specs, API contracts and developer documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate AI Gateway capabilities.
• Implement secure and reusable gateway patterns for LLM, MCP, and A2A.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and source control workflows.
• Set up gateway policies for governance and developer friendliness.
• Create Kong plugins using Lua and Python.
• Integrate with enterprise IdP for authentication and authorization.
• Set up logging, monitoring and alerting with Splunk/Prometheus/Grafana.
• Establish FinOps capabilities for AI Gateway usage.
• Support onboarding of new use cases and maintain documentation.
