Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to own and evolve the Azure Landing Zone. You will build and maintain infrastructure as code, create reusable platform solutions, and drive CI/CD for platform changes.

The role involves strong collaboration with application teams, security, and governance to ensure reliability and compliance. Hybrid working model in Poland, with emphasis on secure, scalable cloud engineering and proactive incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering with Azure at enterprise scale.
• Experience designing and running an Azure Landing Zone (Cloud Adoption Framework / Enterprise-Scale).
• Strong Terraform and Ansible skills for IaC and automation.
• Programming ability in Python and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Landing Zone infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible; automate provisioning with Python and Bash.
• Create central, reusable Landing Zone solutions for speed and standardization across teams.
• Design and run CI/CD pipelines for Landing Zone changes; implement automated testing for platform components.
• Participate in day-to-day engineering: PR reviews and architecture documentation.
• Identify automation gaps and reduce manual work.
• Design the networking foundation: VNets, subnets, NSGs, hub-spoke, segmentation.
• Operate hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway) between Azure and on-premises.
• Apply zero-trust principles and manage access with Entra ID, RBAC, and policy controls.
• Set governance guardrails under CAF and policy-as-code; maintain compliance for banking standards.
• Build platform observability dashboards for monitoring and control.
• Lead P1/P2 incident responses and perform root-cause analysis.
