Job summary

BorgWarner is recruiting an HV Safety Engineer (Expert) in Krakow to own high voltage safety across the product lifecycle. You will define electrical/mechanical safety requirements, coordinate with validation and manufacturing, and lead customer reviews to verify HV safety compliance.

The role emphasizes direct responsibility for HV safety analysis, verification planning, and cross‑regional standardization, requiring strong English and autonomous working style.

Qualifications

  • Masters Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic or an associated field.
  • 5 years of experience in Automotive Electronic or e‑Mobility (Hardware).
  • Good foundation knowledge in hardware embedded systems and power‑electronics.
  • Prior experience with HV safety compliance is an advantage (LV123, MBN 11123,…).
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Working in an autonomous way.
  • Problem resolution skills are required.
  • Positive, cooperative mindset, fostering trust and effective teamwork.
  • Collaborative team player, working effectively across functions to achieve shared goals.

As our HV Safety Engineer (Expert), you’ll join our hardware architecture team and help bring highly competitive, innovative products to life—driving requirement analysis, design analysis, and hardware verification from first concept to finished product.

You’ll own the high voltage safety aspect of the product end to end—defining requirements for electrical and mechanical engineering, partnering closely with validation and manufacturing engineering, leading reviews with customers, and verifying high voltage safety compliance every step of the way.
