Job summary

Umicore AG & Co. KG in Nysa, Poland, is offering an Automation & Control Systems Intern position. You will support the Shopfloor Platform implementation at our Nysa plant, assisting with testing and integration efforts alongside a multidisciplinary project team.

The role is ideal for a student or recent graduate in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, CS, or Electrical Engineering who seeks hands-on experience in industrial automation. Proficient English and a collaborative mindset are valued.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering or CS program.
Interest in industrial automation and PLC systems.
Basic knowledge of PLCs or industrial automation is a plus (Siemens is preferred).
Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn in an industrial environment.
Good communication and teamwork, and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Support the project team in the implementation and integration of the Shopfloor Platform at our Nysa plant.
Perform functional testing of applications and implemented solutions.
Verify user interfaces, system integrations and data flows.
Identify, document and report defects in a structured way.
Support the validation of solutions within the OT (Operational Technology) environment, including interfaces and system sequences.
Support activities related to industrial automation and PLC platforms.
Cooperate closely with the project team and other stakeholders involved in the implementation.
Support ongoing project activities and help troubleshoot identified issues.
