Job summary

Smith+ Nephew seeks an Associate Dispute Resolution OTC with Spanish to shape the Disputes Centre of Excellence for Spain and Portugal. You will drive efficient dispute processing aligned with governance and finance guidelines.

You will handle disputes, coordinate with internal teams, and continuously improve processes. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency (B2+), with Portuguese as a plus, in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in order management, customer service, collections, or a similar role would be a strong advantage.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for process improvements.
• Intermediate Excel skills; SAP, GetPaid, EDI, or ESKER experience is beneficial.
• Fluent English and Spanish (minimum B2); Portuguese is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and relationship-building in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer disputes promptly with proper documentation.

• Analyze root causes of disputes and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain dispute records and track resolution progress.
• Ensure accuracy of customer master data.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams.

• Ensure policy compliance and perform quality checks and process improvements.
• Maintain operational documentation and provide training as needed.
• Work daily with OTC tools such as SAP, GetPaid, ESKER, and EDI.

As a key player of the finance operations role in Smith+ Nephew you will be responsible for shaping the Disputes Centre of Excellence for Spain and Portugal. Your main area will be effective and efficient dispute process delivery in line with Delegated Authority Matrix and Group Finance Manual requirements.

What you will be doing?

• Resolve customer disputes in a timely manner, backed by appropriate documentation.
• Communicate resolutions to customers clearly and professionally.
• Coordinate queries with relevant internal departments.
• Analyze root causes of disputes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate dispute records and track resolution progress.
• Contribute to the accuracy of customer master data.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams or managers.
• Proactively support and collaborate with other team members.
• Ensure compliance with policies and deliver quality checks and process improvements.
• Maintain operational documentation and provide process training when needed.
• Work daily with OTC tools such as SAP, GetPaid, ESKER, and EDI.

What will you need to be successful?

• Experience in order management, customer service, collections, or a similar role would be a strong advantage. However, we also welcome candidates with transferable experience who are eager to develop their expertise.
• A proactive mindset and a passion for identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Intermediate Excel skills, with the ability to work comfortably with data. Experience with SAP, GetPaid, EDI, or ESKER would be beneficial, but is not essential
• Fluent English and Spanish (minimum B2 level) are required. Portuguese would be considered a strong asset .
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
