Job summary

FERCHAU GmbH in Germany, on behalf of a European leading banking group, is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join the team building a modern digital banking platform used by millions of customers. You will write clean, maintainable Kotlin code, create UI with Jetpack Compose, and work in an Agile environment with BAs and UX/UI designers to deliver an outstanding mobile experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development experience.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with MVVM or MVI architectures.
• Exposure to unit, integration, and UI testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitFlow or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features for a large-scale mobile banking application.
• Extend, optimize, and refactor existing functionalities.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to refine requirements.
• Work with UX/UI designers to deliver an outstanding user experience.

Your responsibilities

• Develop new features for a large-scale mobile banking application
• Extend, optimize, and refactor existing functionalities
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to define and refine new requirements
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to deliver an outstanding user experience
• Build complex user interfaces using Jetpack Compose
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, performance, and security
• Create and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions

Your profile

• At least 5 years of experience in Android development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin
• Hands-on experience with: Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Suspend Functions, Dependency Injection (Hilt, Dagger, Koin, or similar)
• Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI
• Experience with unit, integration, and UI testing
• Familiarity with Git Flow or similar branching strategies
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong knowledge of Clean Code principles and refactoring practices
• Good communication skills and ability to work in an international team
• Fluent English
• Ability to work 1 day per month on-site in Vienna

Nice to Have:

• Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services projects
• Knowledge of TeamCity
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of mobile application security concepts
• Leadership, mentoring, or technical coaching experience
