Job summary

Roche seeks an AI Software Architect to lead the Data & AI Engineering team for Biometrics and Clinical Evidence. You will translate scientific opportunities into scalable AI solutions, bridging biopharma expertise with modern AI engineering from concept to production.

You’ll shape engineering practices, drive reusable patterns, and partner with product managers to accelerate adoption while ensuring security, governance and compliance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI or related quantitative field.
Experience leading Data & AI engineering teams in regulated industries.
Strong knowledge of modern AI engineering, agents, and RAG workflows.

Responsibilities

Build and lead a Data & AI Engineering team delivering scalable AI solutions across BCE.
Translate scientific opportunities into robust AI solutions with product partners.
Define engineering practices, reusable components and reference architectures.
