Job summary

Roche is seeking an AI Software Architect for the Biometrics and Clinical Evidence area. You will build and lead a Data & AI Engineering team responsible for turning scientific opportunities into trusted, scalable AI solutions across BCE.

You will bridge drug development expertise with modern Data & AI engineering and guide solutions from prototype to enterprise production, ensuring governance, privacy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years relevant technology/software/data experience with technical leadership
• 2+ years in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated healthcare tech industry
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related field; advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing Data & AI Engineering team.
• Translate high-value scientific opportunities into scalable Data & AI solutions.
• Define capabilities, roles and practices for AI Engineering across BCE and RDT Org.
• Build reusable Data & AI and agentic engineering capabilities.
• Architect scalable data pipelines and vector search indexes.
• Mentor team members and manage career development.
