Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Manager, Site Reliability Engineering to lead reliability across the Akamai Inference Platform. You will partner with product engineering to embed reliability into fast-moving AI products, overseeing serverless inference and multi-node GPU clusters for global-scale performance.

You will drive SRE practices, lead hiring strategies, and coordinate interview efforts for SRE roles, combining leadership with hands-on involvement in building and strengthening the team.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience leading SRE teams and implementing reliability across AI platforms.
• Strong background in SRE methodologies, SLOs, error budgets, and observability tooling.
• Experience with multi-node GPU clusters, serverless inference, and production-readiness reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an existing SRE team, driving growth and best practices across Akamai.
• Define and evolve SRE practices: SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, capacity planning, and observability.
• Champion Operational Readiness Reviews and ensure quality gates and runbooks are in place.
