Job summary

Intel's PyTorch enablement team in Poland is offering an internship to help bring Intel datacenter and integrated GPU acceleration to PyTorch. You will work with experienced engineers on PyTorch and torch-xpu-ops, gaining hands-on experience in DL framework internals and GPU compute software stacks.

The role focuses on implementing, debugging, and testing PyTorch operators/kernels for the Intel GPU backend (XPU) using Python and C++, with some SYCL, and collaborating with the upstream PyTorch

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS/SE; two years completed preferred.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Knowledge of Git and collaborative software development.

Responsibilities

• Implement, debug, and test PyTorch operators/kernels for the Intel GPU backend (XPU) using Python, C++, and some SYCL.
• Investigate and fix OS-specific builds, tests, and runtime issues in PyTorch and torch-xpu-ops.
• Write and maintain unit tests; triage CI failures.
• Collaborate with the upstream PyTorch community via PRs and reviews.
• Document findings and contribute to internal knowledge base.
