Job summary

InPost Pay is building a fintech platform with an international scope in Poland. We seek a Senior Engineering Manager to scale the Pay engineering organization, develop leaders, and drive architectural excellence.

You will align product direction with staff input and operational data while maintaining executive credibility and a strong AI-first engineering culture. You will partner with product, business, and engineering teams to deliver at scale, manage cross-team dependencies, and shape

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading backend software engineering and technology teams.
• 2+ years managing Engineering Managers in a multi-team org.
• Experience in large-scale product environments.
• Strong organizational design: team topology, headcount planning.
• Proven ability to build multi-quarter area-level roadmaps.
• Cross-functional leadership with product, design, data, compliance, finance.
• Executive communication skills for VP/c-suite audiences.
• Experience driving AI-first/agentic engineering practices.
• Familiarity with delivery metrics: DORA, OKRs.
• English at least B2; Polish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-quarter engineering strategy for platform area.
• Lead 2-3 Engineering Managers across 8-20 engineers; develop leaders and ensure delivery quality.
• Synthesize product direction, staff input, and operational data into a coherent area strategy.
• Define organizational structure: boundaries, headcount, hiring strategy, roles.
• Act as executive engineering voice to VP and C-suite with technical credibility.
• Drive AI-first culture: adoption, agentic operations, data emission discipline.
• Partner with Product, Business and Engineering to align strategy and outcomes.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and ensure high-quality delivery at scale.
