Job summary

Adstrong seeks an engineer who makes AI an integral part of development, owning from idea to production. You’ll design and build event-driven backends (primarily in Rust, with Python) and collaborate with the business side to convert requirements into working software.

You’ll influence architecture and data models as we scale, take ownership of applications, and contribute to an AI-first affiliate platform from a fully remote EU base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Mid- or senior-level experience.
• Strong architectural awareness.
• Business-fluent English (C1+).
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS).
• Experience with e-commerce or data-heavy platforms.
• Rust experience or readiness to make it your main language.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-first: plan with AI, steer coding agents and review output.
• Turn goals into solutions with business colleagues to gather requirements and deliver working software.
• Make architecture and data-model decisions to keep systems fast and scalable.
• Take ownership of existing applications and build new solutions for the affiliate business.
• Design and develop event-driven backend systems mostly in Rust and partly in Python.
• Own your topics end to end and keep stakeholders informed.
