Job summary

Monterail is building an AI Transformation platform for an enterprise client, focused on back-office process automation and AI-driven decision support. The platform integrates data from CRM, analytics, and BI to power AI agents and automated workflows.

We seek a backend developer with Python and FastAPI experience to design the data layer, MCP servers, ETL processes, and APIs that connect data with agents and front-end applications.

Qualifications

• 2 years of backend Python experience.
• Experience with FastAPI.
• Strong PostgreSQL schema design and optimization.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Hands-on with LLMs and agent-based systems.
• Clear written technical documentation abilities.
• English communication at client level (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Integrate data from multiple business sources into a unified data layer.
• Build and deploy AI agents for business tasks (signal analysis, pricing, data tagging).
• Develop MCP servers exposing data to agents and tools.
• Perform ETL and data synchronization with external systems.
• Contribute to agent platform architecture (routing, costs, access policies).
• Design backend APIs connecting data layer with agents and front-end apps.
• Create user-facing tools driven by data and agent insights.
• Maintain infrastructure (containers, monitoring, observability).
• Document architectural decisions and system contracts.
