Job summary

Monterail in Poznań, Poland is looking for a Backend / AI Developer to join as a freelancer for an on-site role. You will help build an AI Transformation platform that consolidates data from CRM, analytics, and BI, and you will deploy AI agents to automate tasks and provide insightful decision support.

The project involves developing MCP servers, data engineering (ETL, data quality), and a scalable backend API layer to connect data with agents and front-end applications.

Qualifications

• Solid commercial experience (approx. 2 years) in backend development with Python.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or a comparable modern web framework.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL: schema design, query writing, and optimization.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Understanding of ETL and data synchronization concepts.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose.
• Practical experience with LLMs and prompt writing; interest in building agent-based systems.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate with client-side teams.
