Job summary

Monterail is seeking a backend-focused freelancer to join an AI Transformation platform project. You will integrate data from CRM/analytics/BI, design data schemas, build MCP servers, and deploy AI agents that perform tasks like signal analysis and data tagging.

You will work with Python, FastAPI, Docker, and Next.js, contributing to the platform architecture and observable infra. You will collaborate with enterprise clients, write clear docs, and ensure data quality and secure access policies

Qualifications

2 years of backend Python experience in a commercial setting.

Responsibilities

Integrate data from multiple sources into a cohesive data layer.
Build and deploy AI agents for business tasks (signal analysis, pricing, content/SEO, data tagging).
Develop MCP servers to expose data to agents and tools.
Perform data engineering: schema design, ETL, data synchronization.
Contribute to agent platform architecture: routing, cost control, access policies, telemetry for LLMs.
Design and develop backend APIs connecting data layer with agents and front-end apps.
Create user-facing data-driven tools for business teams.
Maintain infrastructure: containers, databases, monitoring, observability.
Document architectural decisions and enforce contracts across layers.
