Job summary

Monterail is seeking a backend developer to join an exciting AI transformation project in Wroclaw. You will design and implement robust Python backends using FastAPI, connect to PostgreSQL, and build APIs that power AI agents and data pipelines.

You’ll work on data integration, MCP servers, and data quality while collaborating with client teams. Strong English (B2+) and hands-on SQL/ETL experience are essential for success in this freelance engagement.

Qualifications

• Solid commercial Python backend experience (≈2 years).
• Hands‑on with FastAPI or equivalent modern framework.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and data design.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Understanding of ETL and data synchronization concepts.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose.
• Practical experience with LLMs and prompt writing.

Responsibilities

• Integrate data from multiple sources into a unified data layer.
• Build and deploy AI agents for business tasks.
