Job summary

Smith+… is seeking an AI Experience/Design Lead to shape how users interact with AI across products, services, and digital journeys. You will guide discovery sessions, define experience strategies, and align multidisciplinary teams around a shared vision.

You will mentor designers, champion human-centered AI design, and ensure products are transparent, explainable, and give users appropriate control. This hybrid role offers generous benefits, ongoing learning, and opportunities to influence

Qualifications

Extensive experience leading design outcomes within Agile product delivery environments.
Strong understanding of conversational UX, AI systems, human in the loop design patterns, and AI ethics
Expertise in journey mapping, customer research, prototyping, design operations, and creating high quality design artefacts
Proven ability to coach and mentor teams while influencing product, engineering, and business stakeholders across complex organisations

Responsibilities

Guide the creation of seamless AI-enabled experiences that fit customer workflows.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and business leaders to turn challenges into meaningful user outcomes.
Lead journey mapping and customer research; mentor designers and enable delivery teams.
Champion human-centered AI design, ensuring transparency, explainability, and user control.
