Job summary

Phantasma Labs, a Berlin-based, remote-first company, seeks a Software Engineer to join our backend team and help build, run and improve our AI-driven production planning software. You’ll connect the system to customer environments and collaborate closely with ML specialists to deliver production-ready features.

You’ll contribute Rust backend code, frontend React/TypeScript, tests and deployments on Kubernetes, while supporting MLOps workflows.

Qualifications

• Must have willingness to learn and take ownership.
• Must be able to work in a collaborative, flat-hierarchy environment.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to manage time, tasks, and priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend code in Rust for production-ready software.
• Build and maintain frontend features in React/TypeScript.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
• Interface with ERP/MES and customer environments.
• Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Contribute to API design and system architecture.
• Support ML workflows in collaboration with the ML team.
