Job summary

Mistral AI is hiring for a Data Infrastructure Engineer to help architect and operate the next generation of data infrastructure for large-scale AI workloads. You will design and scale compute fleets and storage systems for high performance and secure data access across ML research and production workloads.

You will own end-to-end lifecycle—from migrating away from legacy schedulers to building production pipelines and supporting on-call rotations for critical training jobs, across Kubernetes

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Infrastructure, MLOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build & scale massive compute and storage systems across multi-cluster environments.
• Architect and maintain multi-cluster orchestration layers to optimize workload placement.
• Design modern storage for exabyte-scale data and efficient fine-tuning datasets.
• Contribute to the internal training platform for seamless model training on Kubernetes/SLURM.
• Implement data lineage and metadata visibility as pipelines grow.
• Enable cloud-native deployments with reliable, scalable data platforms.
