Job summary

Sopra Steria Polska is seeking a DevOps Engineer (AI, GitLab) to join our Polish delivery center in Katowice. You will help design AI infrastructure, automate pipelines and support containerisation across cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments.

The role requires strong GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform skills, plus experience with ML workflows and observability. EU citizenship and residence in Poland are required; occasional travel to our Katowice office is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced (+5yr) experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise (+3yr) in Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python and IaC tools (Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AI infrastructure across cloud/on‑premises/hybrid environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD and MLOps pipelines for code, data workflows, model training, testing, validation and deployment.
• Manage containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes across environments.
• Support model operationalisation with reproducibility, versioning and controlled releases.
• Monitor systems and AI model endpoints with logging and metrics.
• Ensure reliability, scalability and performance of AI services.
• Apply security and regulatory controls across infrastructure and data.
• Standardise environments using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, developers and business teams.
