Job summary

Lufthansa Group Business Services Sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking an Accountant to join the Payment Team and support payment processes for Lufthansa Group companies in an international setting.

The role involves executing payment runs, processing transfers, and preparing proposals while ensuring accuracy and timely data processing. A degree, English min B1, and 1 year of finance/accounting experience are required; hybrid work with some office presence is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree or at least the 3rd year of studies completed.
• English – min. B1 requirement.
• At least 1 year of experience in Finance/Accounting processes for Accountant level.
• Experience in a corporate environment is an advantage for Junior Accountant.
• Proficiency in Windows and MS Office.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in a shift-based schedule: ~2 weeks/month, 14:00–22:00.
• Hybrid work: normally 1 day/month from Kraków office.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled payment runs for Lufthansa Group companies and handle urgent payment requests.
• Process fund transfers and payment adjustments per procedures.
• Prepare payment proposals and ensure sufficient funding and approvals.
• Support payment approvals and automatic payment runs.
• Coordinate with banks regarding critical payments and issues.
• Handle inquiries from vendors, employees, and internal stakeholders on payment status.
• Provide required documentation, reports and payment information.
• Monitor open cases and ensure timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with finance and business teams to clear outstanding items.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data processing and service levels.
