Job summary

Olympus Business Services sp. z o.o., part of Olympus Europa, seeks a General Ledger Accountant in Wrocław, Poland. You will handle period-end processing, journal entries, and asset-related activities, with SAP-based reconciliations and audits in a hybrid work model (60% office, 40% remote).

The role requires a university degree in Finance/Accounting or related field, 2+ years in finance, and strong English, SAP and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance and Accounting, Economics or Business-related studies.
• Minimum 2 years of experience within the Finance department.
• Understanding of accounting rules and policies.
• Fluent business English (oral and written skills).
• Experience with SAP.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct period-end processing and reporting, journal entries, accruals & recurring entries calculations, posting and analysis while overseeing reconciliation of accounts to GL.
• Monitor and check sub-ledger business transactions in SAP with reconciliation activities.
• Perform daily activities related to fixed asset creation, maintenance, depreciation, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, SLAs, and J-SOX controls.
• Provide information to internal/external audit and participate in walkthrough processes.
• Postings of manual business transactions from country controllers, business partners or other units.
• Perform GL account reconciliations e.g. GR/IR, Goods in Transit.
• Contribute to GL process improvement initiatives as required.

Your Responsibilities

• Conducting period-end processing and reporting, journal entries, accruals & recurring entries calculations, posting and analysis while overseeing the correct reconciliation of accounts to GL;
• Monitoring and checking sub-ledger business transactions in SAP with reconciliation activities;
• Performing daily activities related to fixed asset creation, maintenance, depreciation, and reporting;
