Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year finance or accounting experience.
• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
• Technical understanding of accounting principles and controls.
• Basic understanding of Polish GAAP, VAT, and statutory requirements.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a hands-on role.
• Fluent in English and Polish, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Record G/L, A/R, A/P, and other accounting transactions.
• Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end close.
• Support tax and statutory reporting with the Accounting Manager and external advisors.
• Provide documentation for audits and internal reviews, and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Work with BPO/shared-service teams and follow up on missing information or reconciling items.
• Collaborate with the local and regional operations teams.

This role offers increasing responsibility in accounting areas in order to grow into larger roles within EF.

• Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end close.
• Support tax and statutory reporting with the Accounting Manager and external advisors.
• Provide documentation for audits and internal reviews, and maintain accurate accounting records.

Qualifications

• 1 year finance or accounting experience

• Basic understanding of statutory requirements in Czech Republic or Slovakia is an advantage
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership in a hands-on role
• Fluent in English and Polish, both written and spoken
• Proficiency in other European languages is highly desirable
