Job summary

UST is seeking a 3rd Line Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for financial data platforms. You will resolve incidents, implement permanent fixes, and deliver changes in collaboration with development, QA, and infrastructure teams.

You will maintain data integrity, perform analysis, and develop automation to improve operational efficiency, including out-of-hours support as required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting financial services applications or financial data systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis, macros).
• Strong VBA development experience for automation and tooling.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server skills, including: Complex SQL queries; Stored Procedures & Functions; Performance tuning; Data investigation and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• NET application support and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the escalation point for complex application, database, and data-related issues.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
• Deliver approved application and database changes following release processes.
• Support deployments, production releases, and configuration updates.
• Maintain and validate business-critical financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Develop automation tools and process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Provide out-of-hours support when required.
