Lead the independent Project Quality Assurance capability within the Transformation Office, ensuring that technology projects comply with the Mashreq Project Management Methodology and required governance, control and delivery standards. Establish a proactive, risk-based and increasingly automated assurance model that helps project teams achieve compliance by design, provides transparent insight to senior management and escalates material gaps requiring intervention.
Key Result Areas
Responsible for establishing and operating a credible, proactive and AI-enabled Project Quality Assurance capability:
- Define and maintain the PQA framework, review standards, control criteria, evidence requirements, review calendar, rating model and escalation thresholds aligned with the Mashreq Project Management Methodology.
- Lead risk-based quality reviews across the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, requirements, design, execution, testing, implementation readiness, go-live, benefits transition and closure.
- Work with Portfolio Leads, using their initial portfolio-level inputs and observations to prioritize reviews, validate concerns and determine the depth of independent assurance required.
- Assess compliance and delivery health through evidence-based review of governance, plans, scope, requirements, RAID, dependencies, financials, vendors, testing, data migration, readiness, decisions and closure controls.
- Agree corrective actions with accountable project and portfolio leaders, monitor remediation to closure and escalate recurring, overdue or material gaps to the Head of Transformation Office and relevant C-level governance forums.
- Define PQA KPIs, thresholds and trend measures; produce portfolio-level reporting that highlights compliance, delivery risk, root causes, repeat findings, ageing actions and areas requiring management intervention.
- Drive the design, development, validation and adoption of AI agents that automate PQA reviews, evidence checks, compliance scoring, exception identification, action tracking, reporting and escalation.
- Create proactive AI agents and guided tools that help project teams apply the methodology correctly while performing their work, reducing rework and enabling compliance by design.
- Maintain independence and professional judgement over automated outputs; establish human oversight, traceability, access controls, testing and continuous improvement for PQA agents.
- Identify systemic improvement opportunities, update assurance practices and support methodology owners in strengthening standards, templates, guidance and training.
