Job summary

National Bank of Pakistan is seeking a Unit Head - MIS (AVP/VP) based in Karachi. The role focuses on managing MIS, regulatory reporting, and performance dashboards for SME Risk across 37 Regions and 10 Hubs.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of banking experience, with 2 years in a business role, a graduation (Masters preferred), and strong skills in data interpretation, analytics, and Power BI. This is a contractual appointment for three years with renewal potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum graduation or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Masters degree and/or relevant certification preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of banking experience, including 2 years in a business role.
• Experience in data analytics / MIS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, automate, and manage MIS covering SME credit approvals, portfolio quality, and regional metrics.
• Generate accurate management reports and dashboards for SME Risk, CRO, and senior management.
• Perform portfolio analytics including EWIs, risk migration, and NPL monitoring.
• Lead automation and enhancement of MIS reporting using BI tools.
• Coordinate regulatory and audit reporting; support policy reviews and planning.
• Ensure data integrity through validation and governance of MIS from core banking systems.
• Coordinate with regional/hub teams and stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate data.

Wing Head - SME Risk - SME Risk and RMG HR & Administration Division

Educational /Professional Qualification:

• Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC of Pakistan
• Candidates having Masters degree and / or any other relevant certification(s) will be preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 06 years of banking experience out of which 02 years in Business

Intelligence and / or Data Analytics and / or Project Management and / or MIS

Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required:

• Strong data interpretation, problem solving, and statistical analysis
• Accuracy in reporting and data handling
• Ability to maintain data base reports at MS access and Power BI
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Verbal and communication skills

Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities

• To develop, automate, and manage MIS covering SME credit approvals, portfolio quality, TAT, delegated authority utilization across 37 Regions and 10 Hubs
• To generate accurate and timely management reports and performance dashboards for the Head of SME Risk, CRO, Senior Management, and Board Committees
• To perform portfolio analytics, including concentration analysis, risk migration, delinquency trends, early warning indicators (EWIs), and NPL monitoring to support proactive risk management
• To lead the automation and continuous enhancement of MIS reporting using business intelligence tools to improve efficiency and decision making
• To coordinate regulatory, audit, and management reporting requirements while providing analytical support for policy reviews, risk appetite assessment, and strategic business planning
• To ensure data integrity through reconciliation, validation, and governance of MIS sourced from core banking and related systems
• To coordination with Regional and Hub teams, Credit, Business, Risk , IT and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely availability of accurate data resolve reporting discrepancies and continuously improve MIS process and reporting standards
• To perform any other assignment assigned by the supervisor(s)
